EMBODIMENT
a 6 week course
Your body keeps the score of all that you have experienced. Through dedicated somatic practices that support the gentle healing of a separated mind/body, we begin to taste the true depth of wisdom alive within our bodies in each moment and in turn we learn how to facilitate the natural processing of any tension held within. Fusing movement, meditation and rest, Embodiment is a 6 week journey back to your body.
Embodiment is now available to purchase.
What you’ll get
-
✺
6 recorded sessions with me, released week by week, sequenced to take you on your very own journey back to wholeness, via your physical body.
-
✺
A somatic practice to use daily between each weekly session session. Every practice offers a different access point to a sense of embodiment.
-
✺
To join me in my exploration of how the concept of a separate mind and body has evolved over time and become stuck in the ‘story’ of Western culture. We will look at how this fragmented understanding of ourselves impacts us as individuals and ripples out to the collective.
-
✺
You will gain a sense of what it means to live an embodied life, to open up to the present moment in such a way that you’re able to tune into the aliveness of your body and how it connects to the world around you.
-
✺
You will build your capacity to process emotion healthily. Part of this course is about developing the resilience and safety within that’s required to turn towards your experience rather than away from it. We learn to give emotion space to move rather than holding it stuck in the body.
-
✺
You are not alone in feeling isolated and lost. Many of us live in societies that condition us to forget the magical fabric of our beings and in turn to lose our sense of belonging. Embodiment is a remembering; you belong. You belong in your body, you belong in your envrionment, you belong on this earth.

Somatics is a field within bodywork and movement studies which emphasises internal physical perception and experience. (Basically, a somatic practice is one that is inclusive of your physical body).

No way! This course is for anyone and everyone. This is also not a yoga course. I do draw heavily upon yogic philosophy and asana practices because they work so well - in my experience - at contributing to a sense of embodiment. However, these practices are shared alongside theory and techniques stemming from other traditions and schools of thought. This course is about remembering how to feel and how to feel good in your body, no matter how you get there. Also what does it even mean to be ‘good’ at yoga anyway?
-
Each session contains theory followed by a practice and these sessions last between 40-70 minutes.
The daily practices you will receive for each week are between 20-60 minutes long. There might be a breathwork practice of 20 minutes for example and a Yin Yoga practice lasting 1 hour.
-
This course is a mixture of theory, rest, meditation and movement. For the movement sessions, we are looking to wake the body up through feeling. It doesn’t matter too much how we get there though, so you can take what works and leave the rest. This is about moving your body in a way that feels good so it’s certainly possible to work around an injury.
-
You’ll have access for at least 3 months, allowing you to take the 6 week course at your own pace.
-
Anywhere! That is the beauty of this course. You can join from wherever you are in the world. All you’ll need is internet access and a space to practice.
-
A space you can practice in and maybe a yoga mat if you have one. You might also want a pen and paper.
